The Course List is the first screen a golfer sees when they log in to FairGolfMatch.Com. This is a list of all the courses the individual golfer has played or added to his list in anticipation of playing. New courses can be added and current courses can be deleted from this screen by the golfer.
Course USGA Number: This is the USGA's identification number for the selected club or course. It is an essential part of the lookup function for a golfer's USGA handicap index. You should always obtain the USGA number for any course or club you enter into the FairGolfMatch.Com list of courses. Our experience has shown that many employees at a club or course are unaware of this number, but the head pro or manager will know it. You will also find it listed on the GHIN handicap card of each member of the club.
Club Name: The proper name of the golf course or club in the course list. If the name shows in the Course List with underlined blue type, you can click on the name for a link to the club's web page or a related web page about the club.
Course: The name of the actual course at the site displayed. This will usually be same as the Club Name, but could be different if a club or resort has more than one course available for play. For example, Pinehurst, site of the 2005 U.S. Open, has eight separate golf courses with eight different names.
City, State: The city and state where the course is located, allowing you to differentiate courses with the same name located in different areas.
See Golfer List button: Selecting this button takes you to a list of golfers (members and visitors) who play at this club and are subscribed to FairGolfMatch.Com. You can see details such as phone number, address, e-mail, etc for golfers who are members of the same club as you. A visitor to a club cannot see individual golfer information for club members.
View Course button: Clicking this button allows you to view selected information about a club or course. The information includes USGA club number, address, telephone numbers, the number of different tees at the course, and names and contact information for key personnel at the course.
Previous, Next buttons: These buttons scroll you forward and backward through the list of golf courses.
Play A New Course For Selected State button: Use this button to add a course to the list of courses you play. First select the state where the course is located, then click the button and select the course to add to your list. If the desired course is not listed, see Entering Golf Course Details to learn how you can enter the course in FairGolfMatch.Com.
