Edit Golfer Information
The Golfer List stores information about each golfer subscribed to FairGolfMatch.Com. If the player has a valid USGA handicap, his GHIN number should be entered in the first field. This field is used as a unique identifier of each FGM member. If the golfer does not have a GHIN number, a unique ID number must be entered. This number must have the format #### - ###.
The golfer must have at least one method of personal contact entered. This can be a complete address, a phone number, or an e-mail address.
When a new golfer is entered into FairGolfmatch.Com, the program automatically assigns a login name and password. The login name assigned is usually the golfer's first and last names, the password is the combination of these names as a single word. Gollfers can change their login name and password to anything they choose after loging in with the original name and password.
Golfers can be assigned the priority of Course Manager (able to enter scores for all golfers), User (able to enter scores for themselves only), and Guest-User (non-member Users). Certain golfers (or, more likely, staff members) will be assigned the right to add new FGM members for the course.
The golfer's default tees are entered so FGM will know the slope and rating for the course and tees played by the golfer.
For golfers who have no scores entered in FairGolfMatch.Com, an initial Match rating can be entered to allow the golfer to play in matches. This rating functions essentially the same as having 30 scores equal to the rating entered in FGM. Normally this rating should be removed after the golfer has 5 or 6 scores entered. A good estimate of a match rating for a new golfer would be (21 - Golfer's Handicap).
The golfer's Dogfight Rating is the average number of dogfight points the golfer has earned during his past few matches. For golfers who do not have a history of dogfight points, a good estimate for a Dogfight Rating would be (36 - Golfer's handicap).
The last fields in the Golfer Info screen indicates what types of scores the golfer may enter (currently summary and detail scores for all members) and the date the golfer's membership renewal is due.
